For all of you guitar players out there, here is some of my favorite gear that I like to use.
I play a custom made electric [strat type] Tyler guitar. It has Dimarzio pickups with an acoustic bridge pickup. Many times I play direct to the P.A. through a GT-5 Boss effects processor and a Fishman preamp. I use a stereo Y cable so I can send the guitar signal to both simultaneously. I do this so I can combine my electric and acoustic sounds at the same time. When I play through an amp I have a blond Fender Deluxe. For string gauge I go back and forth between 9s and 10s.
